  1. 　Does GTN Mobile offer plans suitable for U.S. military personnel stationed in Japan?

    Yes. If you are a U.S. service member or dependent stationed in Japan,
    you can apply for our SIM card, home internet, or mobile Wi-Fi plans, all with full English support.

    *SIM card and mobile Wi-Fi services are available for in-store purchase only. (Please bring your SOFA ID, passport and a valid ID when visiting the store.)

  2. 　Can I use my U.S. smartphone (unlocked) with a GTN Mobile SIM card?

    Yes. You can use your SIM-free or unlocked device with a GTN Mobile SIM card.
    Please note that devices with SIM locks, network usage restrictions from other carriers,
    or untested/unverified devices may not be compatible with our network.

  3. 　Does GTN Mobile provide eSIM?

    Yes. GTN Mobile offers eSIM service for selected plans, including GTN 5G Unlimited, GTN Mobile Eazy,
    and GTN Prepaid SIM. Please note that GTN Mobile Eazy and
    GTN Prepaid SIM eSIMs are available only through GTN Direct Stores.

  4. 　Do you have prepaid SIM options for short-term stays or TDY assignments?

    Yes. GTN Mobile offers prepaid SIM cards for short-term use,
    available in both data-only and voice + data types.

  5. 　What documents do I need to apply if I’m a U.S. service member or dependent?

    You will need to present one of the following valid identification documents:
    ①SOFA ID (Status of U.S. Forces Agreement ID)

  6. 　Where can I receive my SIM?

  7. 　How long does the application process take?

    After your application is approved, you can pick up your SIM on the same day.

  8. 　How can I cancel my plan when I PCS or return to the States?

    You can cancel your plan easily through the GTN Mobile App — there’s no need to return the SIM card.
    Please note that, since the plan is postpaid,
    you may receive a final bill after cancellation for your last month of usage.

  9. 　Can I pause or transfer my plan while I’m away from Japan temporarily?

    No, the plan cannot be paused or transferred.
    If you wish to keep your service active, you’ll need to continue paying the monthly fee during your absence.
    Please note that once you cancel your plan, your phone number cannot be reactivated or reused.

  10. 　Can I keep my phone number when switching to GTN Mobile (MNP)?

    Yes. You can keep your current Japanese phone number when switching to GTN Mobile through MNP (Mobile Number Portability).
    This option is available only for the GTN Mobile Eazy plan.
